Sculpture

The mobile sculptures are the result of working with Indian ink on paper. Paper, a pure, light, noble material, "a blank page", also symbolises the ephemeral, in the sense of a metamorphosis, where "appearing and disappearing are natural and devoid of tragedy" (Hans Arp). Shapes are created spontaneously without any precise meaning. Our imagination – according to each person’s experience and sensibility – creates references and meanings. Everything is open, moving, from one state to another, from one shape to another.

The Treibgut 1 sculpture suggests outward excessiveness from which the individual becomes detached.
